Travel to school

Ulong Public School is located in a small rural community with no public transport services available for students. Caregivers will need to arrange private transport to and from school.

You may be eligible for the School Drive Subsidy through Transport NSW. Please visit the link below to check your eligibility and apply:

School Drive Subsidy

The School Drive Subsidy is available for families in areas with limited or no access to public transport. This subsidy helps offset the cost of using a private vehicle to drive eligible students all or part of the way to school.

You are welcome to contact us for further information, or visit the Transport NSW link below.

Driving and parking

Students are to be dropped off and picked up at the front of the school each morning and afternoon.
Please be aware that the beginning and end of the school day are busy times for both pedestrians and drivers.

When driving and parking near our school, please:

Your cooperation helps keep all students and families safe.

Parking and student drop-off and pick-up information

Limited parking is available along the edge of the road in front of the school. To help ensure students do not need to cross the road during busy times, we kindly ask that caregivers park on the left-hand side of the road near the school gate when picking up children.

Please wait your turn to park and pick up your child safely, without blocking the road or driveways. Your patience helps ensure a safe environment for all students.

As the front gate is closed once teaching begins for student safety, carers may use the staff car park at the rear of the school for student drop-offs or pick-ups in the event of late arrivals or early departures.

We kindly ask that this access is only used when necessary, to ensure staff parking remains available and student safety is maintained at all times.

Thank you for your cooperation.

Please contact us if you would like more details.
